Cruise Contol Question

  Not got a car
In my 172 which did not have cruise control under the acceleration pedal there was a plastic circle with a nipple in the middle that got pushed down and then clicked, ie to turn the cruise control off.

Now in my current 182 there is no nipple just a pastic circle but it still click and turn the control off.

If this makes sence?

Someone help me and tell me why they are dif. I thought they would be the same?

Not sure of the difference but its purpose is to override the speed limiter. Cruise control turns off as soon as to touch the peddles.

was your 172 a ph1 or ph2?

the Ph1 had the click too... and that was never specced with Cruise Control.

only the brake & clutch pedal turns the cruise control off. pressing the accelerator increases your speed but if you take your foot off the car simply coasts back to the speed you were originaly doing.

sorry to be pedantic :)

if you floor it, that also turns it off.

If you push the throttle passed the point, it turns it off, all the speed on your dash flashes and wont come back on till you reset it on the steering wheel.
