A go-kart idea is great but logistics might be a bightmare. If you were to have something like that, everything organised before hand with different groups etc would be best, nothing organised on the day.

Brian Badonde?

I agree though. The idea in principle is great, but think it would be tricky to find a go-kart track in central UK with a car park big enough for 150+ cars and people, too.

Some of the stuff in here is mental.

If you want a day of flying around a track with CS members, go to one of the organised track days we have?

If you want a day go-karting with CS members, go to one of the many go-karting meets that happen every year?

Agreed, I liked the fact that for me it was about nothing other than chatting to people in real life that I normally only get to chat to on here. go karting and trackdays etc I can do anytime and I dont need to be surrounded by people from CS to enjoy them.

I do have to agree with that I suppose. Iirc we tried to organise a national go-kart thing before in Brum (central) didn't end well.

As Rob and Chip says last year I stopped looking at clios after about 5 minutes of being there and just socialised for the rest of the day. Serious chat about cars and good bits of banter, can't be beat tbh.

Imo CSS could be held in an empty field and I'd still be entertained. If this years one was anywhere near as good as last years one the. It must only be the social retards complaining.

We aren't trying to be FCS or Trax.

Essentially it's a big meet. Get as many people together but we're there to try and organise things and give you guys something to do. It's as simple as that. A relaxed day that's 'ours' and try and meet people you talk to on here.

It'd be nice to see something (such as a stand) from Renault themselves?

I mean I know they supplied a Twizy, but surely they could've made a stand up with a few of their latest models?

Did you not see the other race cars next to the V6's?

They gave us a choice of 5 cars. Everyone knows what a 200/250 looks like so we decided to get something a bit different.

Yes! It's purely a social meet for me to meet other members that you may have chatted b****cks to on here for years, have a bit of banter and catch up with mates that you may only see once a year.

True but there wasn't any real presence from the company, I'd have thought since we're one of the larger Renault owner clubs, they'd have made a bigger input.

Loved the Megane maxi.

If its just about chatting to other members maybe we should just decend on an empty car park somewhere and spend the membership money we saved on nachos?

I'm more than happy with what they do for us. Especially in August when everyone is on shutdown.
Support from Renault is a complicated thing. Leave that to us.

I just go to talk to people that I haven't seen for a year, and do a bit of catching up, and answer any questions about the race car.

Got to be done really.

If I want to see a 250 etc I can wander into the local dealer, not to mention if you do a renaultsport trackday you get to drive one for free, I cant see why that needs to be part of CSS as well, all the suggestions people are coming up with are stuff they can do anytime, so why waste the chance to chat to a load of interesting people by doing all that nonsense instead?

Don't know why I bother half the time. Some of the comments in the survey are completely retarded.

The only thing i'll do different next year is bring a cooler box full of food,
instead of just bringing booze then pouring it down my neck on an empty stomach. :dead:

I had pizza and chips in the museum, it wasn't great, but I ate it so it wasn't inedible.

I had a bloody great time meeting everyone, i'm looking forward to next year,
although I would like to complain about the fact that I have nothing to complain about!!!

I think it's safe to say that it was the 20 bottles of beer,
the bottle of weird black cherry whisky and the bottle of Rum I brought with me, that was to blame for that. :D

Tbh i'm surprised I didn't end up in hospital. lol

Put a load of extra stuff on next year and charge £20 entry.
Give the moaners something to really get stuck into.:banghead:
A whole day's enjoyment for a fiver!!!!

Some of the suggestions in here are comical!

To the admins - fantastic job - same again next year? (preferably with food alternative but if not i'll bring my own).

If we go to Gaydon again, i'll do a run to warwick services in the van and do a BK/KFC run.

Well, having not been there this year all I can add is that Djw Dave and myself are planning to miss FCS next year and do CSS instead. Regardless of format having read a lot and looked at a whole load of pics I reckon we would've enjoyed it this year and for the entry cash there doesnt look like much to complain about.

I bought a sandwich, drink and a bag of crisp. With the voucher it came to £2.45. Perfectly reasonable.

Serves you all right for being greedy fat b*stards.

It's not mate. There were a few asking why no other Scots had made the trip.

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
....just need a butcher as a member of CS to sort the meat out cheaper...

or someone with a Bookers card ;)

Regarding not being allowed to self cater, well Gaydon is fine, but not beyond replicating elsewhere that will allow things much more freely.

Didn't get to the food at all myself so can't really comment. Threw my voucher in the bin last night after finding it in my back pocket. Was so busy all day.

The fife contingent were down though, although not sure of anyone else. It's a fair trek if you've already done fcs but I understand why it's there, population wise it makes the most sense

I'd be well up for going to be honest, and plus, if John's there then im almost guaranteed not to break down

I've had a little idea. If you were to have the fastest lap/stage/reaction time competitions again, giving the operators an account on here to update times for us all to know where we placed at the end of the day.

Reading through this thread makes me realise what cracking value for money it is. Sod any other activities, it's spot on as it is.

Really good day, Every that was arranged by CS was very good. Although the cafe staff were stupid as anything, I had to teach the girl on the till how to check a note!! haha!

  AG 200 cup
Don't see why everyone is moaning for surely if the food was that bad you would have said something in the cafe, I got a sandwich Crisp and a drink and it was ok, what more do you want for a fiver/£8. Think the admin did a good job organising and look forward to next year.
