cup clunking noise:(

when ever im at a relativly low speed, and put on full lock (eg u-turn type move) i have a bad clunk from underneath the pedal area, any body heard of this etc??

Yes. But come on, how many times do you turn on full lock? I dont know why people moan about this. Ive heard it all of 3 times in the last year.

guess it depends how often you do slow speed parking in say a multi-story car park, which for me, is everyday - so I think I have good reason to moan. Is that ok?

mine has been in for the mod and made no difference at all, just not had time to go back. its not only full lock , i get it when turning normal mainly tho when the road is un even

i have had 3 172s with the same problem. Its the bearing in the strut. Once replaced by reno or myself its always sorted it.

they cut a few mm of the strut (i think) I know they cut a few mm of something, but I was told not have it done because it may put the rest of it out of alignment, so I cut a piece of hosepipe in half and stuck that round, does the trick for a bit until it gets cold, heard it for the first time today in about 9-10 months, so it does help!:D
