Cup making grinding noises!

Hello all,

Have any of you fellow Cup owners heard a grinding noise during hard (and I mean hard) cornering to the left? It sounds like its coming from the rear nearside wheel. Any ideas? My dad has suggested CV joints.

Seriously though, it may be a wheel bearing that is up to the usual Reno standards.

the only thing i can think of is a wheel bearing or possibly a brake disc stone gaurd rubbing against something, when you say grinding i take it you mean a sort of rubbing/rotating kinda noise rather than a creak

I had a stone in the front disc guard before. Made a bloody awful noise, got it out with a screwdriver.

Yeah, Ive had grinding noises too and it was a stone...If it had been a creaking sound however when turning right over bumpy roads....

A grinding noise to me is either bearings or brakes. Get them checked!

I have a knocking noise on full lock, always on uneven surface. I think its the bump stops so wheel wont hit wheel arch. Had a look around and never found any damage.

try some fish oil it usually helps with joints.
