Cup Spoiler Problems

Went to connect my spoiler today and everything was fine, washer jet worked, brake light came on etc, etc.

I put everything back together and it has stopped working, any ideas as to whats happened to it?

Or even how the light comes out to check it?

sounds like youve trapped the wire, undo the spoiler and reconnect and check.

Coil it up neatly and watch it when you refit to check its not trapped.

Failing that check the fuses.

Alright, just spent an unproductive hour trying work out why it wont work.

Check the fuses and there fine, had the spoiler removed from the car and still couldn't get the light to work.

Any more ideas?

The normal brake lights are working ok still?

so it worked until you fitted it, then it doesnt wok is that right?

try remove it and use a new bulb in the brake light or an electrical tester on the wire and have someone press the brake pedal to see if its still sending power down the wire to light up the brake light in the spoiler.

Yep, which I thought was weird.

Any ideas on how to remove the light from the spoiler, does it just unclip?

Meant to say, the other brake lights work fine.

Sorted it, gave the connecters a little clean down with sandpaper then taped it up and voila.

It all works now

your washer work? as the tube on mine gets trapped and wont work need some longer tube

Yep, took 3 attempts at fitting everything to get both light and washer to work but it's all good now.

cool..im just painting my new 172 sport spoiler..hope I dont get this prob,
but if I do I know how to sort it now.
