Ok, so its a cup racer - but I thot they took the headlight unit out to allow better flow to what looks like a greens cone filter?

Seems ironic this cup has xenons when Iains 172 doesnt even have em!

yeah the battery, std ecu, engine cover and std airbox (plus the std gearbox, but you cant see that!!)

Friends dad had a group N Lancer Evo 1 he really. My friend used it for college! Boy some Neds got a good old butt kicking while he was around.

The car is not a group N car as it has a sequential and is not in showroom trim (must have carpets etc. to be group N).

Erm, no its not? In the pic i posted its identical apart from the lights..you dont see to many slammed rally cars around! The only official renault rally car is the super 1600 anyway..

I agree with dogmaul, not a cliocup race-car, not a group N rally car. Therfore most probable a group A car.

More importantly, how much do they retail for?

The Clio with the blanked headlights.... is not a Cup in the same sense I own a Cup 172. It is a Cup as in, it races in the Clio Cup Championship.

The Clio with the Xenon headlights is {most likely} a Group A rally car.

The Super 1600 has a completely different engine to the 172... it has a 1.6 litre engine (strangely enough!!). And the image shown above is definately a 2.0 litre.

what i find funny is people banging on about the cup been homologated for racing thinking its something special lol when the standard 172 has been too so whats so special about that lol

and before people start the car in the clio cup race series is a mk 1 172 with mk2 body kit nothing to do with a clio cup at all

it just means its been aproved for racing in certain types of races
