Cups first MOT due....

  Golf MK7,GSX-R600 L4
Gotta get it done by 23rd of December .... is there any common problems i need to look out for before i put it in?? Really dont want to have to fork out for expensive repairs at this time of year!!:dead:

Also would you recommend taking it to Reg Vardys?? £50 all in

Mine flew through it's first MOT a few weeks back. no probs,
You'll be fine. I had mine done at a local renault dealer.
Didn't pay £50 though!! (saying that i think MOT prices went up a bit just after having mine done.)

mine was due on the the 9th of dec, was in last week for a new coilpack so got them to mot it at the same time, flew straight throug not even an advisory ;-)

plus the added bonus of been able to haggle, as long as i take my car to that dealership i never have to pay for the actual MOT so didnt have to pay a penny and its sorted for another year

Had mine done at a Renault dealership and it failed for worn rear tyres. Which was a bit of a c**t as they did'nt have any Conti's (or anything else that fitted) to replace them with!! Ended up supplying my own PE2's. And not having a car for 3 days

Moral of story - get your tyres done before you take it to Renault

Cups don't fail because of no ABS, it can be down to the rear bias, I was worried about mine when it had it's first MOT, but it went through fine.

So don't panic yet!

If the tester is up to date, he/she should know about the brake bias actuator arm, and piss poor rear braking performance. But if you take the VOSA document with you it'll be fine. Mine sailed through it a couple of weeks ago and was only 28 quid.

had mine done about 2 month's ago went straight through no prb's maybe take it to a reno garage . ?? but then again don't . lol
