Cutting Plastic arch liners?

  182
Im just wondering wether it would be ok to cut the the little bubble part of the front arch liners, that protects where the bumper and arch connect! Had the car lowered and its the only thing rubbing on the tyers, apart from a little on full lock!

Or should i just get it raised or remove it altogether?

The problems come when you want them back. Hard to get hold of second hand and expensive from Renault. (I think)

Would i be better just removing the top arch liner or just cut out what i need gone?
Would there be any damage to the actual arch if i removed it?

appreciate the help.

I cut mine off on my old 172, as they rubbed at standard height one standard wheels.

The arch liners just make the arch look pretty and stop stones getting flicked around.
Best thing to do it do it slowly and cut the bit out that rub. If it keeps butting cut more out.

It wont do any damage. Just keep the drivers side part of the arch which is in front of the pullys.
