cv joint fitting mk172

  307 hdi (powered by derv)
i have got a load of grease behind my OSF alloy which i presume has come from the cv joint as the cv boot gaitor looks intack, no splits etc.

It can only be the cv joint in that area can't it?

How easy are they to change and the procedure?

Thanks Shaw

cheers fred, what would i do without you.

Really wish i hadn't put my car in a hedge.

Worst of all my Kona and mates Gt bikes were on the back which are now mangled.

I have had a good feel of the joint but couldn't see anything, I will try again.

Thanks
Shaw

mines just gone had a look and the metal clip that goes round has snapped the actual rubber boot is fine, garage says they can get some extra strong ones in 20 quid a side
