Clio 182 - RB
@leeds2592 already answered it for me, all sun strips remind me of the Ali G car.
Okay so some pics and a vid from Friday. The vid is at the bottom.
Me and @Matty1303 got there very early for the sign on at 7.30, briefing etc only to not be allowed on the track until 12 rather than 9 due to the weather so we talked, sat in @Bunta 's car with @NickMelson and had a mooch around looking at other cars.
I was absolutely shitting myself at the noise test as there were so many quiet cars there and mine was there just burbling away.. but pulled off a gracious 87 with the limit being 105 I think.

There were a massive array of cars but first and foremost..

It was a very tricky day with the track being very icy.
I had a massive oooopssiieeee at the start of the day obviously where the wheel came off, most likely due to having longer wheel nuts with me running 20mm spacers up front. The cliosport.net boys sorted me out though helping me get Boris back on the track Cheers Nick, Adam and Matty.
I felt like I didn't even have time to work out the track properly / which lines to take and to be in which gear for which parts which didn't help.

We managed to sort it out HOWEVER, I was missing a wheel nut meaning I couldn't run that side. Luckily @Bunta had some spare wheel nuts but this meant I could only run side without a spacer and the other with. Which really reallllllllllllly messed up the handling. I could brake and it would throw the car right and probably what caused me to spin the two times as these occurred swiftly after the wheel issue.
I could have left it at that and gone home but I wanted to make the most of the day.

Spinning into the grass wasn't ideal and gave me a nice covering of grass

I then took it to get cleaned as I wasn't prepared to do it myself. the battery died in the forecourt though which was very embarrassing

And here is the video. Memorable and fun moments and not so fun:
Spin at Chris Curve chasing down a yellow Evo @ 1:30
Wheel coming off @ 2:08
Another spin at Chris Curve @ 6:35
Lift off oversteer that I managed to control woo @ 7:55
Overall it was a fairly stressful day especially with the low sun in our eyes at every given opportunity completely hindering progress. But I felt like I learnt a lot about the car.
And Boris lives on Bitchezzzzzzzzzzz
They are 15" team dynamic pro race 1.2 and they are/were 20mm spacers i'm not sure of the make! What wheels are they mate and what spacers have u got on
Just looked at all your pictures car looks nice did you sort the wheel and wing out
I think it looks much better without the spacers tbh
Cheers Bro. The wing is still a little dead and I have a hub on the way. Along with some nuts and studs.
Interesting! You're the first person to say that
Is it easy to fit a fabia splitter
Definitely, join up and you will be able to see all the other sections. The guides section will be worth its weight in gold to you.Is it worth being a member
Are Clio 182s good cars can you give them a lot of stick
Were you going fast when it happened? Sucks doesn't it!Think I've missed a fair few posts on this thread, car is looking good. Shame about the spacers.
I had the same happen to me, bolt to hub type mine were though!
What model of seats are those by the way?
Glad the damage isn't too bad Dan, have you got a new wing sorted?
Xl for my massive 30" waist!
Were you going fast when it happened? Sucks doesn't it!
They are xl corbeau clubsports mate. Xl for my massive 30" waist!
Cheers dude, me too! No not yet I think I'll do that as the last job when I get paid. Going to have to spend a while looking for an immaculate one too
How are you doing buddy?

Yea not bad mate cheers, glad its Friday so I can chill for a couple of days.
Andy emailed me back about my car, he's just waiting on the piston rings then its ready to be built back up, he's hoping they turn up today. I'm having another box fitted while its there too as this one crunches from 2nd to 3rd at high rpm and i want the car perfect as in all honestly id like to keep it but I want it perfect. Theres a bottom ball joint and a cv boot to replace too so its not too bad.
I think im going to get some standard mint 182 alloys and sell the ultras as im wanting the car looking 100% oem exterior wise and that's the only thing that isn't apart from the fabia splitter, but ill get another cup one when i get the car back.
I cant wait to get it back to give it a detail!
How are you mate?
Only about 20mph but still took out the wing and inner arch liner! Really sucked!
Xl!! Maybe I need a xxl for my 34" waist lol
@dann2707 how comfy are those seats on long journeys or on a daily basis?
As if it's still up there mate! I'm really annoyed for you tbh as you haven't had the most luck have you
I'm sure it'll look great when you're done with it!
I'm great thanks buddy. I'm enjoying work as much as I can and have a talk on Monday with a director of the Turbocharger Research Institute about a PhD which would be epic. Fingers crossed all goes to plan! Dr Cox haha
Ahh I was joking dude haha I comfortably fit in the XL's. Thought the normal were a little tight that's all and I had to cater for the larger gentlewoman getting in the vehicle when I was single. Just joking (sort of)
They are really comfortable though. I used to do 70 miles a day in them and had no issues what so ever. Would happily do it forever but I moved out of my parents house closer to work so I walk now like a peasant.
Got a load of pics today but my dad refuses to get chrome on his laptop and internet explorer on W10 won't let me click to embed on flickr. GAY
Yeah mate all taped up lovely and silver! Looks sexy hahaHave you gaffa taped the wing up then?
get those threads cleaned and greased on the coilies before they seize
Yeah mate all taped up lovely and silver! Looks sexy haha
I did an instagram vid today of my favourite bit of last week.
My studs are all on and look great too, torqued up to 110Nm as per the PURE motorsport guide. checked them a few times after driving this evening.
What are the new studs like for the length protruding from the wheels?
After reading 40 pages of this thread I got near the end and thought this can't be it! Haha
Very nice car mate
Heard some excuses for tinkering with cars but losing a wheel is one of the best
Just FYI, this thing doubles up as a wheel-doer-upper...
Dan can you do a full spec list? I'd be good to see all the things you have done to Boris in one place.
Also how are the PS3's?
