Debadging a 197 - Anything I need to know?

Q

Qube

So I've read the articles and watched the videos on debadging cars (in general)... But I wanted to know, is there anything I need to know about debadging a 197?

I want to remove the RS badge and the CLIO letters.

They're no inset or anything, are they?

Do they take additional heating?

What would your method be?

Anyone made a mistake? If so - how can I avoid this?

Thanks in advance,

Tom.

flat surface so no worries about removing, just aply abit of heat with a hair drier and use a plastic credit card type of thing to ease the letters off, just be careful about scratchimh the paint. them polish up after

I used tooth floss after warming the badge up with a hair dryer, then tardis/intensive tar remover to remove the rest of the sticker from the car.

Cheers fellas.

Reckon polish will do it? Polish is awesome for melting glue from your day-to-day stickers and labels. Would this be good enough for the remainder of badge-glue or will I need something a little more heavy duty?

I've just debaged the 182 but I used a De-walt heat gun. Badge practically fell off once I went near it. Hardly left any sticky residue and I just used a claybar to tidy the area, came up a treat!
