Heres a thought, insurance companies always bang on about declaring new modifications, etc (as does everyone on here), even down to things like DS2500, Brembo HC's and braided lines - that look exactly the same as the originals & could quite easily be fitted perfectly innocently as like for like replacements ....
But are you expected to declare:
1. A change of tyre from OEM contisport to Eagle F1's.
2. Pattern exhaust instead of OEM
3. Halfords oil instead of Elf
4. Magic Tree air freshener instead of BO
Taken literally, they are all modifications & theoretically all affect the original design characterists of the car, ie handling, noise & likelyhood of engine seizing on motorway and causing a pileup ...
Discuss.
PS. Feel free to move this to the insurance section as i mistakenly put it in the wrong place
