Dell Laptop Hard Disk

I need a hard disk for my Dell Latitude and on the Dell website they want £78 quid for a 40GB unit.

Is that a rip off? Can I get one cheaper else where? This is for a D505.

Its an old laptop that I don't use often and given that it only has 256mb ram (£60 to upgrade to 512) I might be better off scrapping the machine and buying a new one that already has at least 512mb and obviously has a new HD!

Just make sure it fits in the HDD caddy!

i think you need to check your height, either 9.5mm or 12.5mm, otherwise it wont fit inside.
