Dephaser engine warranty

Hi,

I have an engine warranty on my car for a few more weeks, I can definetly hear my dephaser and have all the associated symptons.

I have done some research on this forum and am struggling to find a thread where the dephaser has failed, if I can find some ground I should be able to claim this within my warranty.

Can anyone vouch for this?

Wear and tear part, won't be covered under warranty

Just gets noisier, doesnt actually fail IME.

I guess if you left it for so long that eventually the paddles actually wore through it would fail then, but it really would have to be very noisey for a very long time first.
