Detailed the Clio today

Car  180.5 bhp 172
Hey all,

Sun was out, had a day off work, so thought I'd get cracking!

- Pressure washed all the loose crap off
- Washed with Auto Glym Car Shampoo using a soft brush from the pressure washer
- Pressure washed the sud's off
- Washed with Auto Glym Car Shampoo again, but this time using a sponge
- Pressure washed the sud's off again
- Shammy the car dry
- Washed the wheels with Auto Glym Car Shampoo
- Washed sud's off with clean pure water
- Applied Auto Glym Alloy Wheels cleaner and left for 2 mins.
- Washed off with clean pure water
- Did some tiny bits of the car using Simoniz Tar Remover
- Polished the car with Auto Glym Super Resin Polish
- Applied Simoniz Back-To-Black on the trims

Annoyingly, the pics dont do it justice.

(In some of the pics, the car is reflecting the sud's off the floor....so before you say I've missed a bit...I haven't ;))

What do you think?
Anything I could of done better? (Constructive critisism (sp) welcome)

Thanks
Nick

I like. I want to do this to my car now!!! Hmm day off on thursday. Would you recomend the Autoglym stuff?

Sponge.... Noooooooooooooooooo swirl city!

Nice enough job though, but finish up the exhaust- with a clean car it's so noticeable! and get some tyre shine on! Such a clean car doesn't deserve grey-looking tyres! :)

Soft Brush? Sponge? Nooo! You need a washmitt

EDIT: just seen you;ve orderd one

Ok I'm one of many on here thats a bit to anal on car cleaning!

The car looks good mate :) but get using the mitt asap, and with two buckets, one with shampoo, one for rinsing if you wanna avoid swirls

Id also reccomend sealing in the shine from polishing with a wax/sealant

Nice n clean :D

Have you got all the parts to make the rep mate ?

brush and a sponge is a no no, arches want blacking, good attempt though. go on detailing world, u will understand what detailing is about.

Not yet, no.

If you have any parts for sale, pm me asap! :)

I'll have a look on that detailing site tonight. Thanks for your help/opinions guys!

Every bit of advise helps me, as in trying to get more into detailing.
