HD cleanse leaves a lovely base and looks great. Buts it's not the nicest to apply or remove. I tried a few Zymol waxes over some different pre wax cleansers and worked ok over rejuvenate

A lot of their waxes can be a bit difficult if left too long or applied to think. It's def as thin as possibly and apply and remove one panel at a time.

Bouncers certainly have that boutique feel if you look past the pot

Ignore HD cleanse. I wouldn't use it even before applying Vintage.

Do 1-2 panels at most before removing. Use any cleanser you wish mate.

I highly recommend Lusso's if you're looking for a pure cleanser.

Quick question. Best products to keep dirt at bay and a nice shine when clean to a black astra? Has hints of purple and silver in the light. Black sapphires the colour code. I have SRP and EGP and a few turtle wax liquid waxes I got for my birthday (family of halfrauds fans).

Oh yeah budget max ~£20, been looking at that temp paste wax stuff in the red and white tin? Can't remember it's name!!! 1000p or something?

Gtechniq c2v3 or carpro reload. Both are in budget and perform extremely well. Srp is a good product so use that first then simply spray on and buff off either spray sealant.

For what you want I'd go for a spray sealant over fk 1000p just because they are so fast to apply and they do help keep the car cleaner for longer.

Also when it comes to detailing products it makes no difference what colour the car is.

Guys, can I get a snow foam lance for a crappy £25 halfords pressure washer?
I bought it to clean the patio then I was going to bin it but if I can get my snow foam on, I'll keep it.

Picture of the connector Dan? That's usually the killer bit.

eBay is cheapest for them but connector can be a nightmare with cheap machines.

IIRC, they are the KEW/ALTO fitment which is the same as the Nilfisk washers.

You can get brass connector lances for less than £25 on eBay.

Sup detailerz.
How do I wash my microfibre cloths? Can I just throw it in with a regular 30c wash?
Likewise with wash mitt

dont use fabric softeners, best to use non bio detergent. a little drop of white vinegar also helps.

With the wash mitt, best to just run the pressure washer through it, or at least the hose on fan jet setting after each wash. I've never had to do any more than that.

Alrighty. I'll run them through on a quick wash by themselves with no fabric softener. Need to sit and pick the bits of s**t that came off the car (leaves and their ilk) out of the wash mitt.

Looking for a new wax for the new year.

I've been leaning towards Zymol Carbon. @Yellow Dave I've read your thoughts on it on Detailing World but they were from a couple of years ago.

Any others I should be considering around the £60 mark? I don't really want to go for any of the Auto Finesse range (unless I can be persuaded otherwise). Durability of at least 2 months really.

For £50.00 (inc. tracked delivery) I'll sell you my Swissvax Mirrage, about 1/3 left.

It has some body to it. More like lime prime a tad thicker. Blackhole and EZ creme and Amigo even are glazes that melt away. CU you can see. It spreads nicely.

Much better via DA but all cleansers and glazes are.

Can anyone advise for winter protection the car had a full claying, iron out etc topped with illusion back in august is there any need to clay it again or will it be fine with just de taring and iron out? also thinking about trying tough coat as apposed to waxing it or can you wax on top of tough coat?

Not far away. A tad runnier. Trying to pin point it. It's thick but runny. Works really well via DA or slow rotary.

Illusion won't last the winter, I'd recommend a full decontamination, polish with Tripple if you have any, followed by Tough Coat.

You can top Tough Coat with Illusion.

i have tripple and rejuvenate is it worth putting illusion on top i have spirit as well but i find it hard to work with comparing to illusion

  Golf GT & A4 Avant
For winter best to just stick to toughcoat and not top with illusion. As tough coat is so easy to use you can add additional layers after a routine wash like you would with a quick detailer

Only you can answer if it needs claying or not by looking and seeing the condition the paint is in. If your wax is still performing you shouldn't have much in the way of bonded contaminants so a simply wipe down with tar remover should be ok. I replace my waxes before they completely wear out so not too much grime has a chance to bond. Use rejuvenate as a base to toughcoat as he less wax over tripple will fractionally help durability

Looking at getting a pressure washer for Xmas from John Lewis as big discount.

Is the K2 man enough for some good snow foam mixing? If not any other suggestions around the £150 mark. Saw that Nilfisk one on Amazon that was cheap too?

I just ordered AF Spirit.. Got it for £38 as I had a £10 discount code sent to by amazon via email. Bargain!
