So after a year and a half, my Wookies fist wash mitt has bit the dust and literally seperated from the inner part. Question is do I replace like for like or replace with something like a microfibre madness/gtechniq wm2 or gyeon smoothie

Used bilberry for years and fancy something different.

I use autosmart red7. I can't remember the last time I had to properly take a brush to my wheels! Just spray on, leave for 5, and pressure wash off.

That's like IronX isn't it? Bit costly to use everytime no?

Yeah it bleeds like iron X but it is marketed as a wheel cleaner. It's maybe a bit more expensive than using something that could be diluted but I'm lazy and hate wheel cleaning so it suits me lol. I was £25 for 5L last time and it lasts me a decent while.

In fairness though, I've never tried smart wheels.

Smart Wheels is £20 for 5L on ebay and £32 for 5L of Red 7.

Didn't realise there was such a difference in price. Have you not got a local rep you could try and get some prices from? Might find they're better than on eBay

Go careful with the stuff on eBay. I bought 20L of red 7 off there as it was cheaper than my rep.
It was watered down uselessness. In a container with a copied label.

I pay about £18 for 5L of Red 7 from my local rep. But I do spent about £2500 a month with him so I expect a good deal! Lol

Gave my steering wheel a going over with CarPro Inside at the weekend. Highly recommended. Leather came up lovely!

This has probably been covered somewhere in this thread but I can't find where abouts for the life of me.

I'm having some Turinis powdercoated this week, how long will I have to leave them before I can apply something like Gtechniq C5? Do I need to let them 'breathe' for a bit?

Powder is hard straight away as far as I'm aware so coat them and bang em on. Did mine straight away and they still look good 3 days later[emoji23]

Guys, any advice on what to use/products for drying ?

After having the PB fully corrected I'm absolutely paranoid about causing damage when drying, Don't know why. Currently using new MF towels that remain damp then rung out. Never use an old one. Always a brand new one from the packet. There not costing me a penny thankfully!

If it's protected properly you should be able to dry it using a hose pipe. Then mop up what little is left by PATTING a good quality drying towel over it.

Yep. after 18 months you can't touch it with a machine polish. Pretty much permanently bonds to the paint. You have to be very, very careful when applying for this reason.
Serum Light when cured needs anything up to half a dozen hits with the machine to fully remove and the pro only version is even harder - usually requires serious wet sanding to touch it so extremely durable.
There's some new stuff coming too which I've been trialling and it's even better - way slicker even before topping with exo.

I can't give much away I'm afraid. All the accredited detailers are sent samples of prototype products to try and review/report on periodically.
What I can say is that the slickness compared to Serum Light is night and day. Feels like it's got a coat of exo already - it's way slippery!
It'll be accredited only application too.

Cheers, interesting about the machine polishing afterwards, I wasn't aware of that! It's being applied professionally to a friend's car, so was just curious to see if it was all it's cracked up to be really.

I've got the carpro sealant on my wheels which is great, iron x for fall out remover.

Do you know if you can layer C5 ? Ive got satin perhaps mat wheels and have a feeling Exo is glossy?

I've applied to satin black rims without issue at all. Apply, wipe off residue, job done.
Personally I wouldn't bother layering - single coat is enough
