Rain repellent. Anyone tried some stuff recently.

I used rain x, cheap and cheerful. apply it after washing, leave it an hour and then buff off.

Buy G1 but buy the 100ml bottle. It works out at excellent value compared to £10 for 15ml bottle.

In all fairness with my Panda i use h2go and their rain repellant and it works really well. Their glass cleaner is really good as is the screenwash

There’s only 1 glass cleaner worth having (I’ve tried fuckung loads)

Dooka glass cleaner all day long. Don’t waste your cash on anything else imo.

G1 hands down lasts years and beads great. I need to touch mine up after having a chip repair done though.

I'll try the Dooka glass cleaner when I run out of G6.

Have Nikfisk change their attachments?

Got a snow foam lance that worked with no issues on my C110/120 but I bought a 135 and it just clicks and doesnt work?

Any ideas?

3M foaming glass cleaner is my go to.

Just doesn't smear at all when used with the right cloth, a waffle weave.

What's the freezing point of that triple qx stuff? All I get from the ecp website is what the label says which is all season/summer. Not sure if they understand how seasons work?

1.28 delivered is an incredible price though, not even sure how they make any money off that.

I always used to use Lidls concentrated screenwash which was - 30 but they've stopped selling it now. You could smell the alcohol in it.

Is the trick to leave it on a while before removing?.

I've found it works fine if you just squirt it straight on the window, then wipe it around with a clean mf until it goes clear.

If it leaves any streaks buff it with a fresh, damp mf after it's flashed off.

It works fine as well if you just follow the instructions on the bottle but that takes more time.

Turtle wax clearvue does basically the same thing, but is a bit cheaper generally. And the cap doesn't break like the rain x one.

With screen wash I try and use the same all the time.

Screen wash can congeal and block washer pumps and things.

Best thing I have came across with screen wash is once again OE stuff which is about £3 for 5L and its concentrated so you get up to 10L if not more.
I have also in the past waited until my washer bottle is empty and put a a kettle of hot (Not Boiling) water into the bottle and pumped it through till it is empty again and done this 3/4 times and it cleans all the rubbish out the pipes and bottle.

P.s just remove pipe from jets so any rubbish can get out and not block the jets.

I use to use Autoglym Fast Glass, but moved over to Gtechniq’s Glass Cleaner, can’t remember the precise name, at the minute the glass isn’t coated. I contacted Gtechniq and Gyeon about their glass cleaners and was asking if theirs was safe on coated glass and they both were. If I did want to coat them down the line. What issue are you having with the Fast Glass. Just recently I’m actually cleaning the wiper blades with APC on a cloth. It’s amazing how much s**t is on the rubber blade, makes it tones better in performance

I totally agree. Fast glass is shocking.

I keep saying it, Dooka glass cleaner.

I’ve tried so many including 3M with correct waffle towel, which I decent but not a patch on Dooka imo.

I also don’t really get why anyone would use any glass sealant other than G1 or Carpro Flyby or other semi permanent coating?

Just apply it and forget about it for about 2 years. Robert’s your mother’s Brother.
