Did I get a good deal?

Just wondering really as I see valvers going for £2000+

I bought mine about 6 months ago from a garage where some1 had partx'd it for a 172.

Its a naples on a M reg, completed standard, all centre caps on alloys etc. Body work fantastic, not a speck of rust. No leaks under car or even sun roof. Still had original airbox and exhaust on (so i presumed it wasn't owned by a boy racer!)

It had done 86,000, no rips on interior, all clocks work etc.

The only problem with it was it needed 2 front tyres and the steering colum was buggered (which i got fixed for £60)

I paid £950 for her...

What do you lot think? Possibly make money on this one?

Since owning her i have had it lowered, new tyres, new ball joints/cv boot and put it on to 96,000 miles (yes i know 10k in 6 months :S)

There not worth £2k at all you can get WIlliams for that sort of money.

I's say £1k is a reasobale price for them depends on condition you probably paid about normal.

I paid £6500 for my Mk1 Clio 16v back in 1999:eek:

But it was worth it back then! :)

Not planning on sellin her just of yet. Will wait untill late next year. Wanting a turbo tbh, possible ibiza or scartlet.

You'll hav to hav a look at her now Mark, had it lowered on monday (not too low, just nice) so its looking pretty tidy at the moment

If its still in good condition next year ill put her up for bout £1100ish.

sounds like a decent deal. if its in good condition there are plenty of people prepared to pay 1k+ for a mint one.

I got £2700 last July for my mint (and I mean mint !) standard M reg valver with factory grey leather :)
