Trophy
At the end of the day though it doesn't matter who thinks what! Diesel technology is getting better and better and more and more people them.
The manufactures are investing hugely in Diesel engines and Audi is leading the charge. The car at Le Mans had no black smoke and rather than a tractor it sounds like a jet turbine.
We will have to wait and see, but the initial reports on the V12 Q7 suggest that some of this technology has moved over so you may well find in a year or so there's a big black Q7 'whooshing' past you with it's 500BHP and 740ft/lb making you feel like you're going backwards?
Personally I'd rather be in an F1 car sound-a-like Carrera GT with the V10 N/A petrol singing in my ears but that's just me!
