difference engine wise between 172 and 182

iirc it is to do with the manafold or something like that??? some 1 will prob correct me..

Well, they are 'meant' to be more powerfull, but many RR results have proven that not always the case.

The differences are a 4-2-1 manifold on the 182, where as the 172 has a 4-1 i think. Also, the catalyst is more of a sportscat and free-er flowing.

As far as i know its a fact... has less cells. Not 100 % though so could be wrong.
 
The 182 has a different engine code it is a slightly different engine but nothing serious just changed production parts can be swopped.

The power came from the 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and sportier can and exhuats system with a remap to suit.
