Dirty Gypsy - Gig 'shoot + candids

  Works...kind of...
A band who a couple of friends are member of. Last time I went to see them they were on about getting some good pictures taken at their next gig so I offered my services as it were, even though it was my first time doing this sort of thing.

Also it was a good opportunity to try out my newly acquired 50mm f/1.4. :approve:

All taken with available light only (hardly any) at 1600/3200 ISO and no higher than f/4.

Sure am.

It's 10 times better than my old nifty-fifty, I didn't seem to have much problem with manual focusing as the AF confirm adapter is a god send.

But it's so much sharper, the nifty gets sharp at around f/4-5.6 but this is sharp all the way through to be fair.

My only complaint is that the radioactive element (it's an old lens, 1970ish) has a slight yellow hue, but I've ordered a UV bulb for some bathing. ;) Should bleach out the yellow a good'n.

  Focus TDCi
Good work with these, has to be one of the hardest things to photograph I'd imagine. #1 and 3 work best for me. Think the only thing that would make them better is a bit of eye contact, but I suppose you have to get lucky with that!

Might have to ask a few of my mates in bands if they want photos taking, sounds like a good challenge. :)
