DIY 172 Headwork, whos done it then?

  HBT 172 Cup
Well i have a stock 43k 172 engine ive taken apart and been tinkering with. Ive got a nice ITB setup next to me waiting to be bolted to it, but i couldnt possibly put it all together without having a tinker with the head ;)

I know a fair amoun about engines, but absolutely 0 about cylinder head gas flowing, i know its easy to mess up and produce results worse than standard but i thought f*** it why not.

I bought the best grinder i could afford (something s**t for 15 quid from maplins ;)), and it took me a good 6-7 hours just on the inlet ports but im happy with the results. Im going to have it flow benched.

I'll get pics up in a bit.

So has anyone else had a stab on their own? did it produce favourable results? talk to me! :)

Laine you have Very admirable enthusiasm, for thos alone I shall always love you!

Time will tell, if it makes good power, then no problem. If it makes just normal power, again no problem---in any case you've enjoyed yourself and it's made you think, which is what's all about innit like bud.
