  Whichever has fuel
So people think ''Oooh, look, a car with an MOT so long, I haven't got to MOT it for the next 13 months''

Why, would you not do it and advertise it with one Months MOT??

Because it adds value...

If you had a choice of the same car one with one without an mot which one would you buy?

then my point is invalid and I see yours (both of you) but I saw it as a waste of money unless it would add the cost of an MOT or more onto the price

Hmmm, you'd have a point if it were for instance a cracked wing mirror glass , if its going to cost you £25 to fix but its not likely to affect the asking price then yeah, don't bother. But with MOT its more than a piece of paper you get for your money. You are giving potential buyers piece of mind that the car isn't a heap

For the cost of an MOT test, if you're fairly certain it's going to pass fine, I can think of little else you could do for such a small amount of money that would make your car that much more "sellable" - If it's just passed an MOT then it's likely to be in good shape; whereas if it's only got 1 months MOT or less, you might get the impression the owner was trying shift it before the MOT comes up because he's not so confident it will pass.
