Do seats have to be listed as a mod

on your ins...reason i ask is my current insure - Halifax who i think is esure anyway! when i rang to tell them i had changed my seats they werent at all bothered! no increase of premium and was a little confussed as to why i told them LOL
(good old halifax)

Anyway ins is coming up for renewal soon and just wondered if its worth while notifying any other companys that i have changed them :S

no reason! just with there attitude previous i may even stay with current insurer we will see who is cheapest!

Yes they do.

Its a change from standard manufacturers specification.

(Altho your insurance may not be bothered i either get them to send me a letter or make a note on file)

More importantly IF your seats are fitted with side airbags/pre tensioners. Changing your seats to say some buckets with no airbags. You are changing the saftey rating of your vehicle. Your insurance company would have taken this into consideration when offering you insurance....

So after that long blab ^^ id say yes lol

I've got the recaros noted on my policy as they were an option. You know they'll try and get out of paying up should you claim, so I'd declare every time.

My Recaros and both cup packs are listed on my policy. Costed me nothing extra!

what differance if any will it make to the insurance?
surely Ifif I'm carrying less passengers the amount of people claiming if something happened would be less, therefore my premium should go down? but more than likely it would go up?
