Does the 182 have ’Cup’ badges

  Clio 200

My 182 Cup doesnt have any Cup badges on it. Should it?

If not, can you buy them? Personally, I would quite like to have them, shows that mine is the hard-core version :D

How can it be "hardcore" when it still has things like aircon, cruise-control, ABS and ESP!?

The 172 Cup was hardcore... the 182 Cup is just a marketing exercise...

lol its not hardcore !!!,they have only took the leather out and put cheap headlights in, now the 172 cup was serious they even put lighter glass in, took sound deadening out took off abs,etc etc that gave a proper weight saving.

the 182 cup is just a maketing idea to sell more 182s,

True, but its cheaper, and faster.
Cheaper it may be, but its only 20kg lighter and that only gives it an extra couple of bhp-per-tonne...

But why are people saying the 182 is a better car because it has more comforts, and saying the Cup is basically a rip-off because it isnt as light as a 172 Cup...but then buying the heaviest version possible?

While both versions are great cars, the logic doesnt add up for me. 20kg is 20kg. Sure its nothing in the real world (maybe a spare wheel?), but it makes the Cup sound faster when you see the 0-62 figures :D

But still not as quick as the original cup;) ...... anyway we will have to see some 182 cup 1/4 mile times ... see how they compare to the 172 cup. Either way they are both great cars and I wouldnt mind owning either one of them!!

i think only the press cars did.. i aint seen any road cars with them. unless theyre to be fitted by the dealer ( with the front skirt etc)

is there actually any noticeable difference between a 182 cup, and a 182 with the cup pack options?

I have the latter.

Edit: Forget it, I just found another thread.

You could always use the CUP part from the badges I have below

Ill have the 172 cut offs if people dont want em ;)

the one at the dealers had the rounded cup badges without the 182 bit, they were definately not 172 cup badges with the 172 taken of as they were thinner and more rounded
