dose 1/2 an inch make a diffrence.?

Car  BLK RSC172
im currently hunting down a set of rims for my 172.
i want lighter but the same size rims for it..
but i keep coming across rims that are 15"x6.5" with correct fitting
i have come across 2 rims that were 15*7 but they were both hideous.

if i get a set that are 15x6.5 is the handeling affected???

You don't say what size tyres you're talking about.

15x7 and 15x6.5 wheels aren't going to produce any noticeably different result with 195 tyres. It's be a small difference with 205 tyres. It'd be a noticeable difference with 215 tyres.

15x6.5 would be lighter, especially if you bought ones for their lightness, so the ride would improve.

i currently have 172 stock rims. they are 15x7
im lookin at buying rims that are 15x6.5
the tires that i will be using are 195/50R15s michelin PP2s.
so not much diffrence with 195 tyres....

the rims that i was looking at are 6kg vs the stock which are about 8kgs.

also the rims im looking at have an offset of 38,
the factory rims have an ofset of 48.5, buy doing this, dose it mean that i get a wider track too?

just found an offset calculator but adding these rims i get 4mm more track (further out) and 16mm more on the inside.
so it should be acceptable.
