Draining coolant in 172!

Whats the best way to do it to get most of it out b4 replacing? Thanks

When i did mine i just unplugged the bottom radiator hose and the majority will drain out. If you want to do it 100% properly then your supposed to undo a plug from the engine i think But i cant remeber what its called.

No!

Take the bottom hose off, let it all run out then blow down the bottle, if your really kean stick a hosepipe in and keep it running threw the system (with the bottom hose off still) till clear water runs out.

Best way to fill its vac fill it if you've got the kit. No messing about with bleed screws and a messy floor.

tupac - I meant the "cylinder block drian plug". Yeah but bleeding the system is important too!
