Drilled holes in plastic slam panel

I was looking in the clio section of the site and spotted Codgeys clio 182 which has been fucked with by BB Perormance and noticed it has 6 holes drilled in the plastic slam panel cover thats built into the 182's grill.

Would there be enough cold air passing through these holes at speed to justify drilling them out ?

Bearing in mind the bonnet would be closed on top of them :S

And would it be worthwhile doing ?

  Whichever has fuel
I don't really understand. The bonnet covers those holes, unless he drives with the bonnet up??

Thats what i thought quite pointless.

And you wouldn't want to drive the car on the bonnet catch going by the Clio's rep for bonnet catches

Lol :)

Tinfoil trays everywhere in there, engine mount etc?

I know ithinkallthat chrome everywhere looks crap, its makes it look cheap and boy racer.

But hey as long as he's happy with it as its better than my 172 it has 220 bhp

Maybe the chrome is refracting enough light which then enables the car to travel closer to the speed of light with all that hp?
;)

  Shhh
clean engine but thats going to be sucking a sh*t load of hot engine bay air, yes it will take a little from the outside but its not really going to be alot compared to the heat the engine give off, nevermind the heat coming off the radiator.

I would ditch all the metal stuff inc engine cover as its pointless, cant check brake fluid etc with it fitted and you dont carry torque bits to remove it in the car.

Less weight, a closed induction kit with feed from front grill, decat and aftermarket exhaust system and remap should be a fair gain..

things like this just make the car bog down.

I have to agree with you there bud ;)

That huge filter must suffer from heat soak bad.

And i think all the chrome bits just look tacky and chavvy :(

I agree . If you don't like what Codgeys done to his car fair enough , but there's no need to sl4g off another members car . Maybe some people should keep their thought's to themselves .

  BMW M135i
190-200 bhp maybe but going from the same mods on other peoples cars no way is it 220bhp. Theres a guy that lives round my way who's username I can't remember for the like of me atm and he's got very similar mods and only makes 195ish iirc, and thats with standalone management and an enlarged cable throttle.

bmh.01 correct me if I am wrong, but there are very few cars running High Comp are there? I thought most cars made circa 200 on cams?
