Driveshaft problems

  1.6 16v clio priv
Right had a little accident over xmsa, finally got parts and still wont fit.
I hit the kerb on a roundabout on the passenger side.

Bent the shocker,
bent the wishbone,
bent the anti roll bar.
damaged the driveshaft.

Problem im having is when i put it back together and drove it at first it drove fine. then suddenly no drive. after investigation am finding that when i float the hub and push it in the driveshaft locates properly but the hub is about an inch too far in to connect with the ball joint on the wishbone. Its as if the shaft is an inch too short but doublr checked it and it isnt.
The haynes manual says that on some earlier mark 3s there may be a roll-pin fitted to the inner joint of the driveshaft what is this and could it be what im missing.

if it had a roll pin, you would know as you would have had to knock it out to get the old ds off. plue the connection that the roll pin secures is actually splined, so it wont slip anyway. this is just of the diff, on the sun wheel side (normally right side)

Suspension housing is bent, causing the chassis to flex and thus splitting the drive shaft - only way around it is to get your car Jigged and pull the suspension housing back into line.............well thats what it sounds like, i had a similar problem on a Fiesta

yip, sounds like theres been more damage to the car.

To be honest, i'm surprised the subframe wasnt bent atleast, since it took the shock, lower arm and ARB!

(ps, it aint a mk3, its a mk2 ph2)

i know that but most people even some shops refere to it as the mk3 and the new one as the mk4. why cant they print mk2 ph2 under the bonnet or something then there would be no fuss
