Dropping subframe help?

Ive taken all the bolts and everything off, the only thing left holding the subfame on is where the steering colum meets the rack. This is where im haveing the problems ive taken the nut off and cant split the colum from the rack. help much appriciated thanks

Do you not have to remove the bolt aswell as the nut?

Mines fell out easilly once i done this. double check everything. make sure you have all the bolts out

nut and bolt out you may have to get a flat blade to get it to part do not pull down on the column though

Thanks right i have done that, theres one more thing holding the subframe it seems to be a pipe wrapped in silver protective wrap near the rack?

cant get in there to see what it is or how to take it out

power steering pipe i expect it might be better to seperate the rack and frame

much easier to unbolt the rack from the subframe! 4 x 16mm bolts
