DS3000, Carbon Lorraine or Mintex?

  E90
Roffle at the carbon lorraines on Toms car, i drove it so he could hang out the window and watch the sparks as we braked.

I had ds3000's on the bmw front and back, EPIC pads, and you roll up at tescos for a loaf of bread sounding like a hero.

just found that DS2500's have a friction value of 0.50 (which is fairly constant) so on par with the RC6's

  S3, Polo
I use Mintex 1144s - Superb all-round performance and £70 delivered! :)

Only down-side is they are very dusty.

Don't now why they haven't had a mention, but, I have EBC Yellowstuff on standard disc's fitted to my track car, they have done a couple of outings at Oulton Park and have been fantastic cost was around £130 all round delivered.
Braided lines, race fluid, never seen any fad whatsoever.:D
Cheers

ive not used yellows, but wouldnt touch ebc with a dead badger after previous experiences with red's and greens on two occassions. despite how good people say the yellows are, im SURE there is better out there especially for this sort of price.

IMO

Pagids - 30,000 miles mine lasted, low-ish but consistent force when cold, better bite when hot.

PF97s - Epic and messy. Variable bite, very little when cold then instant when hot. Tricky to modulate on the road as a result but they excel on track.

CLs - Make your ears bleed at town speeds. Quieten down when pressed a bit. Make your ears bleed again when properly hot. Bite/feel is consistent regardless of temperature - good road pad if you can stand the noise.

For what they cost it's CLs for me.

The DS3000 pads are superb! Best Ive ever driven and they are cheap as well. My car is a trackday car only just as youres. You can by them from Demon Tweeks and as a member you have 10% as Im sure you know. They are about £125 without discount and ex vat, but you will have to mail and ask for them not on the website I think. Item number: FCP565R

They dont squeal a lot once worn in and I must say that cold bite is very good.

EDIT: Dont go near those Yellowstuffs FFS, they are absolutley crap. Almost put me in the armco a few times due to massive amounts of fade. I have tried two sets with new racing oil and propper cooling same sh*t.

If you get Ds2500 so hot that they start to fade then you are doing something wrong.

With this, I did around 80laps+ of castle combe in 1day and they never felt like fading at all.. still loads of life left in them 6months on as well

Was this with standard disc's?
Always worrying to hear these kind of reports.
