DVD player head unit query

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
I just recieved my eonon dvd player head unit, fitted it, but says "No brake, No video" meaning i need to connect it to the hand brake im guessing.

Is there any way i can by pass this?... as I would want the dvd running whilst the car is moving i.e. the hand brake off, rather than only playing when the hand brake is on.

Thank you.

From what I have read before the unit recognises the hand brake is on from the same feed that goes to the instrument panel to the handbrake indicator light. So you will need to do the equivilant of this. i.e pass a small current through this connection. It may also vary by unit type on how you would do this aswell so I cannot advise excatly on what you would have to do.

theres a wire (usually green) that you have to connect to the earth wire of the iso ??

well it is illlegal to be driving with video on in front of you, which is y it has 2 b wired inro the handbrake

^ and no-one does! They usually accept either 12v or ground, just splice it into the ground on the iso lead for the headunit, not the car.

And obviously you won't be watching videos whilst driving! ;).

im just sayin as my friend gt a hefty fine for driving with video playing, they were going to charge him wit driving without due care and attention, bt let him off with a fine
