ECU cover bracket snapped

on a 2 month old car, the black piece of metal that is connected to the car.

the thinnest piece of metal I have ever seen

Its snapped off and is making a right noise when Im driving!

will they change the cover under warranty?

anyone know the part number?

whats caused it to snap, it doesnt move surely when driving, and there is no rust or anything?

It should be covered under warently depend hw its failed if it looks like youve ben tampering and they want some bad PR then they will refuse it.
Its only cheap though the part I think.

Mine snapped a few months ago though I havent bothered with the dealers as the whole ECU case was scuffed to buggery when I was fitting my R-Sport ECU for the first time!

Only noticed it when I investigated a new squeak.

Im hoping a breakers might have one going spare when I can be bothered to fix it. Currently the bracket is taped to the point on the body where should be bolted to stop it rattling/squeaking.

Anyone know if the ECU cage is the same part on all mk2 clios?

My mk 1 172 bracket has snapped. I was going to weld it back up when I get a chance. IIRC it snapped just to the left of the ECU.
