Edition 38 - A Weekend In pictures. [Picture Heavy]

Okay, so I know this is a mainly German show, but it's something I think everyone should do. Just for the epic epic banter.

Went with Dub Club Oxford on Friday. Few of us convoyed up and got there in the afternoon to set up camp and have a few beers.

On our little road we had this cool rat look 106 from Aberdeen, as well as a few other scots.

This barbeque is pretty much ruined after the weekend. Just covered in crap. Most of the food came off it a weird shade of grey with grass all in it. Loved it.

Too many beers for some... (not me btw)

Woken up at 5am to people either shouting "MORNING!!" or "ALAN, ALAN, ALAN..."

Took this one on Sunday morning, but it gives an accurate description to what we did on saturday night...

Back to the actual show...

Basically, it's worth it. Even if you don't have a German car, you will have a laugh.

That porsche was lovely but did you see the bumper the other side? Some pissed up tw*t in a rallye crashed into it! The Feds came but couldn't do anything! Real shame!

Haha should've said hi! Yeah you definatly are now had to raise it up about 10 mm to save my driveshaft/CV. The CV Boot is split into two separate pieces and it's really fooked! LOL Once I get my chassis notch I will get lower

f**k did see that dent! In the club show bit (out the front) this morning some guy in a giant Merc GL slammed into a Mint MK1 golf and dented it quite badly! He left his number but scribbled it really badly.

The pens were the best purchase of the weekend.

Thought it looked a bit high mate..ha! I was tempted but we passed you on route to get some plates made up for a mate. Was amazin though and I can't beleive how far people travel to get there. We were with a Dutch and Belgian lot most of last night. Was a fair few chavs there too! Aparently not as bad as other years though.

The Porsche owner was a young irish lad. I'd say 20 tops!

I didn't see phrebone there and thought I would..

OMG, I have a hilarious video of some dutch guy. His eyes were bright red and he was talking crap to us. He followed us back to his camp and kept saying "I own many Mark 1 golfs" and kept saying he has everything. Every wheel he saw "I own some of these yes" and he kinda sounded like Borat.

Did you see the pope? f**king heroic.

There was some Max Power girls too and we all tried chatting them up with anchorman lines "My apartment smells of rich mahogany." hence the Anchorman quotage on my car too lol.

Did make me laugh the security bloke who was at the gate friday afternoon, he just shouted "DRIVE SLOW" at me when I wasn't even moving. Also another one threatened to take my mates keys off him, even though he'd just got there and was driving to our camp. Yet there were cars and caddy's etc driving with people hanging out the back LOL!

Been to a few shows in my life but this was my first E 38 meet......what can I say???.........epic......every single car in the show ground was brilliant. Was so nice to walk around a show and not see crap mods, piss poor standards and stupid sound systems pumping out nothing but a loud noise. Was the best show I've ever been to. I'm really fortunate as I live 5 minutes away from both Edition and Trax. The difference between the two could not have been greater. Even though I had a good day today at silverstone today, Edition had a much much better atmosphere. Its definatly something I'll attend at every oportunity from now on. Unfortunatly I was in my vee but next year I'll be in a dub. Will post pics soon.

I had a fun drive home too..haha! Some dude a lovely White mk5 r32 that was in the main part of the show wanted to play. I could safely push him along which I was happy with. He was hammering it down through the gears aswel! I was quite pleased. Roll on next year..

Saturday morningish we went to Morrisons and I felt like it was 2002 as I raced a mk2 golf from the lights Didn't exceed the 40 limit in the area, mind you. Was a bit like Ali G.

Tbh some groups annoyed me that didnt have any vags. One group of lads just had Vauxhauls and were clearly there to cause trouble..

Went to the first 3 e38 shows but then loads of nobs started turning up to them so have avoided them since. Sounds like a plan seeing as a girl was hit over the head with a bottle and all the usual talk of centre caps being stolen, tents being robbed. Its a shame really as it was an amazing event before every man and his dog started wanting to be in the "SCENE".

There was no trouble really this year? It was advertised as a quiet year so not many chavs turned up. Then just after the results were announced they also let on it was a head kandi night..best move they ever made holding that back. Meant it wasnt seen to be a rave like the chavs normally do.

I heard a girl got hit with a champagne (sp?) bottle on needed stitchies then the got their tent broken into. Just a shame a small bunch mess it up for the rest. Very good show and deffo the best i have ever been too.
