electrical issue please help?

My fog lights dont work, yet when I use the wash wipe on my wipers the fog light flash what can that be. I checked the fuses when i first noticed they had stopped working. Then I checked all the relays. Im not sure what it could be maybe a bad earth?

The car is a 172 02 plate not sure if this makes any difference to the wiring.

A bad earth is the most likely cause as both switches are negative return relay operated.

It could also be a sticking relay or a trapped loom.

Have you fitted anything electrical recently ?

Whip the top cowl off the steering column and all the wires will be visible, look for a stud with several brown wires fixed under it.

I have only had the car a few days so ill have to check that. I only checked the relays were in correctly not if they were sticking, ill have a look thanks.
