Engine bay and samco induction

Ive taken pics of my steps of getting my inlets polished and my new samco induction hose.

Here are the pics before I took them off. (pipe ordered)

By this stage I have taken the induction pipe off and the inlet off. Also I have given the engine bay a bit of a clean.

I will post up some more pics tomoz.... hopefully should have it all polished and the samco induction pipe fitted.

Here are some more pics from todays work...

The start of the mornings work:

All grinded down now and ready for a little bit more work before the polishing begins.

Started the polishing, 2 out of 3 steps done on the first pipe and very happy with how its turning out up to now.

how did you polish it ? what did you use?

Looks good when there fully polished.

like a very small grinder with very fine sand paper on it. Then a grinder with a smooth disk on it to take down the scratches on it then a polishing pad on the grinder. Then to get the mirror finish on the first pipe we used a set of polishing disks, 3 different levels. Didnt use the last disk on the pipe though couse thats for finishing and no point finishing before we do the others first.

Well here are the last days pics.. all finished now. All polished up and hose on. Hope you all like!

Here is a pic of the manifold polished and on my bench. Hammering it with a bit of Autoglym.

Put a bit of black paint in the groves on this one to contrast the chrome look. Think its worked really well.

And here's what I've been working on so hard for the past few days... Car all put back together now and looking good me thinks

Yep......LOL na couldnt get my hands on a dremel in time.... but still not bad me thinks

NEVER!.....LOL took me about 7 hours to do it. Spread over the past 2 days. Cant say I would do it again though.

But I'm happy with how its come out.

yeah I thought it might ..... used autoglym polish on it and then used autoglym paint protector on top. Hopefully it should stay like that for a bit.

That turtle wax ice stuff looks good... the spray on stuff. might use that to keeo on top of it. And maybe do a bit of the car as well
