I'm sure there is but why not take the box out? Worst bit is draining and filling the oil which is a damn site easier than trying to squeeze the engine in

had the engine in with not much effort but it just woudnt go into the gearbox, does the flywheel have to be turned to a certain place? or isit just a case of wiggling the engine till it goes all the way into the box?

You need to make sure the shaft and clutch splines line up yes. Turning the flywheel should be your easiest option in this case but it will literally only need moving a few mm

maybe thats why, we was turning the flywheel a few turns at a time so will try turning it just a few mm tomorrow, made sure the clutch was alligned right before putting engine in so just a case of turning flywheel little bit at a turn then, thanks for the advice mate

It's gonna be a bit hit and miss tbh. What I normally do it just turn the engine a stroke of a ratchet every time and hope for the best lol
