engine choice

right i have a mk2 ph1 1.2 8v, and in the next month our too i want to strip it out and give it a full respray in white at work so at same time wanna do engine swap as well dont really mind the fact il lose money on it etc as to be honest it aint worth all that much now but what the best idea

1.6 16v running mini supercharge as my mate knows a comapy who just do minis so parts would be cheap

r5 gtt engine after speacking to eddie this aint to hard of a conversion and i think would be nice as not many been done and would be totaly diffrent

our the 1*2 engine but this just seems bit borning as this the one eveybody goes for

i remember seeing 172 conversion engine for a williams (8 grand) at hillpower .(220 bhp)

I'd suggest buying a Ph1 172 engine etc.

Or the 1.6 and turbo/lairy cam it to create a Super1600 rep since it'll be the right colour.

No Renault engine is interesting IMO use a Honda K20A with its 6 peed box if you cna get the jap version as it has a LSD as stock.

Or a 1.8 VAG turbo engine.

172 engine but done to make it as light as cna be would be nice.

chuck your interior away back seat etc i used a rolls royce shadow 1 v8 in the back, coupled up to a renault 30 trans axle unit ,absolutly awesome performance would recommend to anyone to do this, raced a boeing 737 down the drag strip and was at least 200 mtrs in front of plane before it took off couldn't recommend this conversion enough.
