Engine Gasket kits and sealants.

Hello,

I'm in the middle of my engine rebuilds at the moment, I am just wondering where you guys would advise getting all the gasket sets / rocker cover sealant etc from....??

also can you re-use head bolts or is it better to replace them? if they need to be replaced can you use any 12.9 bolt from a fastner supplier or are they a special item?

Renault and yes use new head bolts as they are stretch bolts if you use the old ones you wont get the same clamping pressure on the head

ahh so mrk2 then?...iirc ..kk then if would replace the boths with o.e ones..unless the other are not streched.. there is a tolerance stated in the RM's...ill find it out for you..also there is a certian way to do the bolts up in order...do you have the files

so you buy all the gaskets, sealants and bolts direct from reno?

Does anyone have the part numbers? can you buy them as a "top end set" and "bottom end set" which incudes everything or do you have to buy them as individual items?

u can buy a top gasket set for about 30..bottom set is about 30 too iirc.. there is no paten parts out there which i am awear of

Right ive been tinkering on today and its all stripped down, heres a list of what I think i need... has anyone got acess to part numbers for the bits, or a part number for a kit which includes all parts (rather than buying them all seperately?)

Head Gasket.
Cam Shaft Seals.
Cam shaft blanking caps.
Jointing paste for Rocker cover to head and oil seperator to rocker cover.
Sump seal (also is a sealant used on the sump or just the rubber seal?).
Cam Belt.
Cam Belt Tensioner.
Cam belt folower (the bearing / pulley wheel)
Head Bolts.
Oil Filter.
Water pump gasket.

I think thats about it, i have left the bottom end intact.
