ENGINE HELP!!!!!

Hi guys i need your help got a phase 1 172. Just on way home from work, stopped at a roundabout then, went to pull away and car started miss firing!! It jerks up to 3k. Sounds almost like a impreza with the way it now rumbles. The accelerater pedal jerks too. Not sure what it is think it could be on 3 cyclinders? Just worrying if its cam belt related? Anyone have any ideas?

it may have just been damp it rained like f**k here earlier and again now

Coil pack is likely, on my ph1 the power lead came off one of the injectors which caused the same symptoms!
