engine links tapping?

slight tapping noises coming from the engine of my car. Its a focus but cliosports always been good for advice on any car.

Apparently the "links" are tapping, but its nothing too major to worry about.

Is this costly to get fixed? and what exactly are the engine links?

when do you get this tapping noise mate, is it just when you have the car on idle? sorry for slight highjack the reason i ask is because i can hear a tappy noise and it annoys the hell out of me and want to get it fixed

just in general you can hear slight tapping. had the car looked over by a ford mechanic who told me all the niggly things wrong with it and thats one of them.
