Engine management light? 182

Sometimes if I have my car running the engine management light on the right hand side of the dash starts flashing but if I turn my car off then back on it stops and stays off? Does anyone know what this is

no but i have had the exact same thing happen to me a while back...haven't since mind you :S

Could be a few things, plugs, leads, injectors, coil pack, oxygen sensors... If u can, get it somewhere to plug into a diagnostic machine and it should of stored a fault code.

Do what Andrew mentioned, Don't start throwing money at parts trying to find the problem as it mounts up to a decent few quid
