Engine Pics + couple of little additions.

first off, it aint even been cleaned yet (not even with a dirty rag) so no comments about the level of dirt :approve:

few polished bits are in there, along with BenR's inlet manifold matching has been sorted. thanks to timsclio172 for sorting me the samco elbow. altho if anybody wants one for a ph1 they do NOT fit properly so i had to 'improvise' but the final result is relatively pleasing. also better quality than the hillpower bends ive seen.

got a fair few quid to spend, and a few cans of paint to spray before its anywhere near finished but for now its a work in progress.

also managed to fit new sidelight and silvervisions all round which have made a big difference. would have changed the dipped beam as well but i ordered the wrong fooking ones :anger: oh well....

well looking at your car edde always make me feel better about the clenliness of mine! however a car should be dirty its there to be driven and enjoyed afterall ;)

polishing cost me 60 quid for everything, starting with a half done plenum and everything else from scratch

Nice work. My additions have come to a halt. Just been quoted £300 to fix a small bash. The things I could do with that money!

very very nice engine bay. The only problem I can see so far is the silicone bent you have. I think it is a little stiffer than Hillpower's since it is pretty much bent at the moment and I do not think you are squeezing every bit of power increase there probably a little loss. I experienced a similar problem with mine which is a Hillpower one. Had to cut it with an angle at the filter side. Mk1 RS airbox wont give you enough room to perfectly fit it.

well the filter itself isnt really creased or crushed. its more the breather pipe part is crushed under the throttle cable thing, and i didnt fancy running it over the top of it. had to cut the samco at an angle so it goes on 'nicely' but as far as performance gains go it has given me one, so not concerned about it in the slightest.

richMCC - if you have any concerns trying to fit yours give us a PM as it aint easy, and had to adapt the breather pipe to fit as its too thin for the ph1.

oh, and the ghey wheel centre things look exactly the same as the wheels? but the silver has a slight glitter to it making it a bit more interesting.
