engine smoking?

need help the problem is i'm getting alot of smoke from the car when i start it and it's coming out of the rocker cover breather pipe or the oil cap when i take it off so i thought it was the headgasket had gone cause the coolant changed colour as well so i got a headgasket kit and changed it all and when i started it agian it was still smoking really badly what can cause this ?

it was running fine on my way home then it felt like it was runnign on 3 cylinders but it went away then came back so i got home and parked up and the car started smoking from the bonnet so i pop the bonnet open and the smoke was coming from the breather pipe.

please help need to get car fixed before it starts to snow or gets to cold to anything.

A 'kit'? So you changed the gasket youself? Was there any damage to head or block caused by the blowing? Sometimes a head gasket failure can mean you need the head skimming, or worse still, welding and skimming.
