Engine swaps

Ok guys really need your help to get this sorted out. I have a 1993 1.4RT clio and I want to do and engine swap. I have a friend who can do the swap for me if the engine is a straight swap plug in and play etc etc. Which engines will be a straight drop for my car? If this helps Im looking at 1.6 for the size and hopefully 16v if it will fit. Am i right in thinking the meggy 1.6 BE is 16v and plug n play? or not?? if not other suggestions from you guys would be really helpful :approve:

1.6 bottom end is a stright swop but might as well swop the whole lump for a 1.8 16V engine IMO.

Just put the 1.8 16v engine in. Thats pretty simple! Just make sure you have things like ecu, loom etc
