Engine trouble at various times

Hi really sorry but i have a very amateur question i really need advice on,

my 2002 clio extreme sometimes wont start first time its not the battery as this is almost brand new so i need help to determine what it might be and what the cost of fix would be?

it plays up at various times sometimes worse than others and basically when trying to start it wont at all other times i just wait a few seconds then try again and it works

I had this, cleaning my throttle body seems to have cured it.

If you're gonna take it off to clean it check with Renault if you need a new gasket first (£2ish) older models have paper gaskets that need replacing.

It could be a faulty tdc sensor. If the problme is worse while the engine is already warm it could be a faulty coolant temp sensor.
