Engine upgrade options..

What's the best/easiest engine upgrade available for the 1998 clio mk2 1.2 8v?

Mainly in terms on wiring looms (my weak point) because the mechanics I can deal with.

I was hoping to put the 2 litre in but I've read a few posts on that and it looks like a real swine to do at home.

Maybe the 1.4 or 1.6? Any advice would be appreciated.

After having the 1.2 for months I would like something with a bit more power.

Any ideas? Cheers

All engine are the same problem stick a 172 in there. For the effort nothing esle is worthwhile.

Wouldnt even bother doing that.



IF you dont want a 2L in there then there is only one option for you.

The Renault Five 1.4 Turbo engine.

Not too fussed about the power tbh.. I just want something quicker than the 1.2 for now.. (eyeing up the ktech turbo one..)

Nope no easy one the 172 is the easiest and most cost effective realy.

Thought the other 8v engines would be similar tbh.. hmm .. might have al ook at the 1.4 turbo engines.
