I think you'd be better off speaking to insurers, rather than CS, if I'm honest.

When I was 19/20, I paid £2k to insure my Ph1 172. Mental.

I PAID 1.7K ON A 1.0 CORSA C!!!!

im not paying 1.2k on a 1.2 clio. but the thing i i wrote my corsa off. so insurance next year will be heeaavvvyyyy. im not bothered about running costs, i can afford that. i just cant warrant spending more than 2k on insurance.

£600 quid on a ITB'd Phs1 172 in a proper shitty ghetto bl3 postcode. And the evo 5 was only £800. However, my zx6r b1h was only £550 quid as well in the same area, but we did have a spate of "lets pour paint stripper over 20+ cars" a good few months ago. It will however be totally different for you so ring around lol.

I can't wait for my leg to heal and get another bike... Roll on march :D

extortionate for me then. 0 ncb (dads car technically and using his 9years with me as main driver) 19 and 1 fault accident this year.

back in the day' the me and the local lads from round here went on runs to Lady Bower, peak district etc. and we drove like true knob heads, over taking 2 - 3 cars, "racing" from point to point like rood boi's

Now when I think back, it really does scare and shock me! Would never do it now  some of the manoeuvres where just plain stupid and dangerous

I remember that time with me, you and Mark

Yeah. The strange this was, he was talking to Ad and me about how we've got to be really careful. Literally five minutes before we all headed out.

They went a different route to us, later on. That's when it happened. Around the time when that second part of the video was filmed... 4 mins onwards.

Yeah it was a great meet spoiled by that incident. I kinda lost my appetite for meets after that.

Wish I was still young and worry free, but as Ali says the thought of organising a driving meet with 40 cars is not appetising. Me and Ben were talking about organising a North Wales night run in the spring....

I'm a +1 to the thought of a big driving meet being horrific. Shame really but you always get the 2/3 that always want to be infront. Accidents happen so easily when people are ever trying to get ahead.

Wasn't really like that at all.

I would love a completely standard Williams with F4R running gear... engine, gearbox, brakes etc.

This.

I remember the driving meet that me and Boosh went to a couple of years ago. Brakes were cooked after 10 minutes, to the point of not working. Madness thinking back.

Wasn't saying it was mate! Just what I've experienced whenever that's the opinion I get. I've been on drives with people I trust and it's an iffy one. I guess you always have to have your head on you and just know when enough is enough.

I remember on SaxP some lad's were trying to organise a meet for a drive and wanted me to tag along. Not a chance.

Majority of the people who wanted to go weren't past their 20s, didn't have a great deal of driving experience and - not to say they are idiot's - but i just would not take that risk. A spirited drive on my own, yes. Early summer Sunday morning ride on the Ducati with my dad, aunty and uncle, yes - i know their road behaviour and on a bike you look out for each other. But not with a bunch of lad's in small hatchback's that i don't how they drive.

Great video Christopher, it was a good day but that accident sickened me.

I will be orgaising a lakes run in the summer over on 200.net but it wont be anything as big as the 2006 meet.

Agreed, wasn't about trying to get ahead it was about like minded people out for a drive. The accident had nothing to do with the main meet they went off on their own whilst we were parked up at a meeting point.

Looks like a good run out bar the incident. Driving meets are ok providing everybody knows approximately where they are going, you get a good lead car and nobody starts heroic overtakes etc.
