What a fantastic turnout :) 26 cars I think, although Im sure 1 or 2 might have gone out for a blast when I counted but still great to see everyone, even Tommade an appearance too! Will have to wait til Vicky comes along to find out the total anmount raised for Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital.

Some pretty good results too, even for me, 84bhp 135ftlb Torque :D not too shabby for the Derv. I'm sure people will post up theirs too.

Here's a pic of mine to start things off....

Looking forward to your pictures, there must be quite a few decent ones with the amount you took!

mine's was all dirty, pictures will prob look lame.

sash were they your 'at the hub' figures or converted to flywheel?

Here are some of the non-run photos from rather a good turnout on a stupidly cold March morning.

Big thanks to Vicky for putting grown up clothes on .. and braving the cold. Learn to wear thermals like the intelligent person next to you (Hi Ben!).

argh i need pics!!

dude would it be ok if i PM'ed you my email address, and have you send all the pics of mine to me via email please :D

Mine made 144.7 at the hubs,
if im brutally honest, i think theyre dyno was slightly generous on figures, but im still happy as i faired rather well against all the 172/182s!!

either way it was a great day out for all!
really great bunch of chaps at TDI, gave everyone some nice advice and such about theyre cars!

Re: My pics ... This one should have started the thread ! ;)

Second time lucky .. stupid Flickr.

All my pics are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/evil_giraffes_rule/sets/72157626201270422/show/

OK .. well here goes.

Charity Dyno Day at TDI in Thurrock...

5499831958_caf37f0d11_z.webp

We rocked up by 9am and mostly filled what later turned out to be next door's car park and stood about freezing to death !!

The roller-door went up and we were in, being greeted with a rather tidy and warm workshop, filled with many ridiculous vehicles (more on that later), but more importantly, donuts and a warm waiting room...!

Each run was being filmed.. and will be on YouTube later .. hopefully one of them will send Vicky the links ! :dead:

cheeky edit: TDI's YT .. click here

.. and would get a print out with a calibrated ATH (at the hub) torque graph, and a table of figures too.

One of these..:

5499238113_c6660c5e8f_z.webp

.. was bolted to each hub of the vehicle, and off they went with the run.

:approve:

So.. Postman Pat went first and did quite well IIRC:

(sorry for lack of pics dude .. it took me a while to warm up, but you've already had a bonus one above!)

Then it was me:

5499221245_36ca7d9861_z.webp

Results to follow, but I got 157.7HP / 134.4lb.ft ATH. Pretty happy TBQFH.

5499400723_1c2abbe0f4_z.webp

Next up was the dirty one.

5499827496_e636019a8b_z.webp

Obviously I probably mean the car:

5499222375_b58e4c5702_z.webp

She did alright - 84HP ATH and 135lb.ft too. Shame it's change gear time before 3k .. stoopid diesels.

Next up was the Meg. It's yellow....

I've no idea who some of the following cars belong to, and absolutely no idea at all what any of them got, but here's some pics anyway..:

After that was the beast...

This sleeper is so sleepy, it's still running a 1.4 (no, not bar) under the hood, and 5 doors on the outside but fair play for getting involved ! ;)

5499828946_e4be3abfd6_z.webp

Coming next was a 182 with girl coloured bits added:

5499235017_f32cda1150_z.webp

5499831628_c0538757f2_z.webp

While that was being finished off, VickyX was next. She was stuffing her face as normal.

This is where things got serious. Sh*t went green .. the intake welds blew off the Evo .. and nobody liked the tuna.

5499835272_bc2d8a6fdd_z.webp

After they hosed the soot off the floor thanks to Vicky's hilariously NOS filler over-fulled final run, Struggler was up.

5499241249_0d3c4bf990_z.webp

Did pretty well too IIRC, with a healthy AFR (take note, Victoria!!) too.

Last one of the day that I saw was this silver 172:

Hope that works OK second time round !!

Looks like a very nice morning/afternoon that. Nice pics too.

Sorry I couldn't be there, but repairs had to be made.

I'd have popped over tonight Rob, but I figured you and Sash may be having a nice coupley night in as Dan's away.

How is the driveshaft going Rob?

It's ok Mr Girrafe it was disguising itself in the carpark with dirt! Poor effort on my part I was the only person who didn't give the car a clean I think.

Brilliant now, but it wasn't the cause of the vibration.

The top gearbox mount was fudged, so that's sorted that, the drive shaft has fixed my CV joint issues though :)

Bugger. Should have popped over really.

What did the green one with the 182 like exhaust get?

I got 164bhp ATW so around 178bhp with 137 ft-lbs torque. Then on the 3rd run I got 184bhp at the wheels so just over 200bhp with 182 ft-lbs of torque.

Very happy! :approve:

was anyone given rough ATH to ATF figures? I was told there was no definate way but to expect to add 10-15%

having read a right up on the net it looks like hub reads 93% of the flywheel figure

that puts my 212 ATF R26 at 226/227 ATF bang on standard figures!

182 with girly coloured bits...that would be me then lol ;) had a great day and i'll get my pics uploaded asap
